Job Summary
Start your IT career with hands-on experience in a professional environment supporting day-to-day operations. You’ll work alongside an experienced IT team, assisting end users, resolving common technical issues, and learning how enterprise systems function. This role is ideal for someone with foundational IT knowledge who is eager to grow through practical, on-site experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Aid in responding to and prioritizing tickets assigned to the local IT support team
- Help troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and peripheral issues, escalating more complex problems as needed
- Document end-user interactions and completed work in the service desk tool
- Assist with creating and updating Knowledge Base articles for common issues
- Provide basic site IT support, including:
- PC setup, imaging, and basic troubleshooting
- Printer setup and basic support
- New user workstation preparation and account setup assistance
- Support for common business applications such as Microsoft Office and Teams
- Support for monitors, keyboards, mice, docks, and other peripherals
- Assist with conference room technology setup and basic troubleshooting
- Help maintain loaner equipment and checkout records
- Assist with hardware refreshes, device deployments, and inventory-related tasks
- Help review logs, follow documented procedures, and support routine maintenance activities
- Participate in team projects and other assigned tasks while gaining hands-on IT experience
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Working toward an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field are preferred
- Basic IT knowledge through coursework, certifications, personal projects, or school lab experience is helpful, but prior professional IT experience is not required
- Basic knowledge of or exposure to the following technologies:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook and Teams
- Computer hardware and common peripherals
- Basic troubleshooting for software and hardware issues
- Familiarity with Active Directory or similar account management tools is a plus
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies and follow documented IT processes
Qualifications
- Must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
