IT Tech Lead

This is a !! month contract with potential for extension, located in Raleigh or Charlotte, NC. The position is hybrid.

About the Role

This is a versatile IT Tech Lead role focused on delivering upgraded capabilities within a PeopleSoft/PeopleTools upgrade. The role requires substantial experience with PeopleSoft Financials (AP/AR/BI/GL) and its integration with other systems. Workers at this level solve complex problems, manage work assignments, and provide leadership with minimal supervision. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, implementing fixes, and communicating technical information to various stakeholders, including IT management and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting for complex issues and implement fixes to systems and applications.
• Visualize long-term results and assess system-wide impacts.
• Communicate downtimes, change management, status, issues, and defects to users, IT management, and other stakeholders.
• Present technically complex information in an understandable manner both orally and in writing.
• Work with vendors to implement and support applications and solutions.
• Utilize waterfall and agile methodologies for application development and maintenance.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or developer/Technical Lead on projects.
• Provide expertise gained from experience and coordinate routine maintenance for emergency patches, service packs, and upgrades.
• Utilize Human Performance tools effectively, especially during testing and implementation.
• Provide recommendations and assist in decision-making at a portfolio level.
• Research and analyze new technology, design solutions, and lead development and implementation.
• Program and direct other programmers in required languages, database SQL, report writing, and ETL.
• Assist with testing and migrating code through test regions.
• Ensure adherence to design, coding, and source control standards.
• Lead system design and code walkthroughs as a presenter or reviewer.
• Process Change Requests and Quality Assurance (QA) documentation for project implementations and support changes.
• Recommend IT process enhancements and standards related to areas of assignment.
• Coach and mentor other IT Application Analysts.
• Lead corporate and division-level initiatives.
• Assist management with strategic or tactical planning as needed.
• Manage team members' day-to-day work assignments based on application pipeline reports, individual work queues, skills, and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• In lieu of a degree, 15+ years of related business experience.
• 10+ years of work experience as an IT Application Analyst or equivalent, specifically with PeopleSoft and PeopleTools FCM upgrades.

Pay

$75.00 - $85.00/hr (W2 contract).
