Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise infrastructure, including virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and/or Proxmox.
- Manage and optimize cloud environments across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Administer and support core services including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, and identity management solutions.
- Perform routine server maintenance tasks including patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Monitor system health, availability, and performance using appropriate tools; proactively address issues before they impact users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalated issues from the IT Service Desk.
- Ensure systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational policies and industry best practices.
- Develop, maintain, and improve technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects, migrations, and integrations.
- Implement and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration, with a strong focus on both on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with server monitoring, logging, and performance management tools.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to thorough documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience administering Windows, Linux, and macOS systems in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, routing).
- Experience working within or aligning to ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management.
