IT Systems Analyst - Data & Report Automation - U.S. Citizenship & Federal Experience Required

This is a remote position with a federal government clientU.S. citizenship is requiredFederal government experience is mandatory Position Overview We are seeking IT Systems Analysts to support a federal client's program focused on modernizing report production, data operations, and automated reporting solutions. This role sits at the intersection of systems analysis, software development, data management, and reporting. The successful candidate will help analyze business and technical requirements, improve data workflows, automate recurring processes, support reporting applications and dashboards, and develop solutions that improve the accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility of government reporting. The technical environment includes PostgreSQL, Python, SQL, Tableau, GitLab, APIs, and modern web technologies. Key Responsibilities Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into practical system solutionsSupport modernization and automation of recurring report production processesDevelop and maintain automated data processing and reporting solutionsWork with PostgreSQL databases and other data sources to query, transform, validate, and manage dataSupport data quality, data accessibility, and data integration initiativesDevelop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutionsSupport modern web interfaces using technologies such as React, Angular, or similar frameworksEvaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and automationPerform system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and quality assuranceDevelop requirements, technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and other system documentationWork with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirementsSupport recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements, including time-sensitive requestsContribute to the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of production systems and automated solutions Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldAt least 1 year of experience as an IT Systems Analyst or in a similar technical roleProfessional experience supporting a U.S. federal government agency or federal government contractorExperience with Python and JavaStrong PostgreSQL experience, including SQL querying and database developmentExperience with modern web technologies such as React, Angular, or similarExperience gathering requirements and performing technical or business process analysisExperience with system documentation and/or standard operating proceduresU.S. citizenship required Preferred Qualifications Experience with Tableau or other business intelligence/reporting platformsExperience with report automation and automated data processingExperience with ETL, data integration, data transformation, or data qualityExperience supporting statistical or analytical reportingExperience with APIs and system integrationExperience with data warehouses or large-scale data environmentsExperience with software development lifecycle processesMaster's degree in a related field Work Environment 100% RemoteMonday-Friday, generally 8:30 AM-5:00 PM EasternFederal holidays excludedTravel is not anticipatedPosition is subject to a federal background investigation and suitability requirementsGovernment-furnished equipment and access to required systems will be provided Program This position supports a federal program focused on modernizing data operations and report production through automation, improved data management, streamlined workflows, and modern reporting technologies
