IT Systems Administrator

About the role
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and software systems. This role requires exercising discretion and independent judgment regarding IT solutions that directly impact business operations, cybersecurity, compliance, and system efficiency. The IT Systems Administrator collaborates across departments to develop strategies, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvements in IT processes.
This position is fully on-site at ESAero in San Luis Obispo, CA.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day management of IT task ticket system
- Assist with the maintenance and management of network servers and technology tools
- Assist with the deployment of software updates
- Setup accounts and workstations
- Identify and setup user trainings
- Identify and support cybersecurity policies and initiatives
- Monitor system performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot user software, hardware, and connectivity issues
- Help establish remote-working networked IT solutions
- Help design, upgrade, and maintain wireless network
- Support manufacturing, production, quality, and related engineering efforts
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Coordinate IT issue resolutions with other IT resources as required
- Assist with development of processes and procedures
- Track IT KPIs
- Create and update documentation
- Assist with user training
- Support company AS9100 certification
- Maintain and support NIST 800-171 and CMMC certification and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- Computer networks training
- Experience with Enterprise IT administration
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Administration, and Group Policy Management
- Ability to write documentation of Best Practices
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to analyze and solve problems
- Solid organizational skills
Skills
- Formal computer science training (a plus)
- ERP systems experience (desirable)

Pay
$90,000–$120,000 per year (exempt)
