FUTURES Internship Program Overview

The FUTURES Program is an 8-week internship based at the Netsmart Solutionarium in Overland Park, Kansas. The program balances on-the-job learning, hands-on client-based work, professional development, leadership exposure, and social/networking events. Housing options are available for non-local participants (certain criteria apply). Interns experience relationship-building, industry understanding, exposure to life-changing technologies, and a collaborative environment.

About the Role

As an IT System Administrator Future, you will act as an IT Liaison for assigned systems, providing technical support to operational application owners and aligned initiatives. You will configure, modify, and maintain business applications while creating technical documentation such as build requirements, data flow diagrams, and software/configuration specifications. Responsibilities include executing application administration tasks, troubleshooting, system maintenance, audits, and analysis to ensure system integrity.

Requirements

  • High School diploma (or GED) and working toward relevant technical certification, training program, or associate degree.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organized, self-motivated, with high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance individual and team effort in collaborative processes while meeting set deadlines.
