Internship Program Overview
At Netsmart, our internship program is called our "FUTURES Program" because we truly believe that you are our FUTURE. This 8-week program is based at the Netsmart Solutionarium in Overland Park, Kansas. The FUTURES Program includes a balance of on-the-job learning, hands-on client-based work, professional development opportunities, leadership exposure, and several social/networking events throughout the summer.
If you aren't local to the Kansas City metro area, housing options will be available (certain criteria must be met to qualify for housing). About the Role
As an IT System Administrator Future, you will act as an IT Liaison for our assigned systems by providing technical resource support for our operational application owners and aligned initiatives. You will configure, modify, and maintain our business applications while creating technical documentation for build requirements, data flow diagrams, software/configuration specifications, and more.
Working with the team, you will execute application administration tasks, including system configuration settings, associated software application administration, troubleshooting, system maintenance, audits, and analysis to ensure system integrity.
Requirements
- High School diploma (or GED) and working toward a relevant technical certification, training program, or associate degree.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot technical problems.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and have high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance individual and team effort in collaborative processes while meeting set deadlines.
