About the role
The Systems Administrator Intern is responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and overall quality of systems hardware and software. Infrastructure includes, but is not limited to, desktop and laptop computers, mobile phones, tablets, Microsoft Windows Active Directory, corporate email systems, end-user productivity software, and mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain user accounts.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 non-business-critical support.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
- Provision, configure, and install new desktop and laptop systems.
- Perform new site installations, including hardware and software deployment.
- Configure and maintain Point of Sale (POS) software and peripherals.
- Perform store refreshes and rewires.
- Configure, maintain, and support enterprise mobile phones and tablets.
- Support the JDA Workforce Management (WFM) system.
- Support back-office systems.
- Document all system changes in accordance with corporate policies.
- Configure and maintain Active Directory accounts for new and existing users.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as computer systems, information technology, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent to four years of high school education, plus specialized training obtained through a trade, technical, extension, or correspondence school program equivalent to two years of college coursework; and two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
