IT Support Technician
Key Responsibilities
- User Support: Serve as the first point of contact for team members experiencing technical issues. Troubleshoot software, hardware, and printer-related problems.
- Laptop Imaging & Setup: Learn to configure, image, and deploy laptops for new team members, ensuring all required software and settings are ready to go.
- Asset Tracking & Inventory: Help maintain the internal IT hardware asset repository, ensuring precise logging of issued hardware, peripheral inventory levels, and recycled equipment.
- Basic Security: Assist with data security by managing BitLocker drive encryption and performing password resets.
- Local Network Troubleshooting: Help diagnose and resolve basic Wi-Fi and local network connectivity issues within the office.
- Identity and Collaboration Management: Assist with basic Google Workspace administration tasks, including user account provisioning, group management, and standard access permissions as directed by the IT Systems Manager.
- Learning & Growth: Participate in ongoing training to expand your technical skills in Windows, Linux, networking, and server environments.
Requirements
- Passion for Technology: A strong personal or academic interest in IT, computers, and networking. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates.
- Fundamental Windows Knowledge: Familiarity with the Windows operating system and common desktop applications.
- Strong Communication Skills: A friendly, patient attitude and a genuine desire to help others solve technical problems.
- Google Workspace Proficiency: Foundational knowledge or exposure to Google Workspace core applications (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets) and basic cloud-based user account troubleshooting.
- Eagerness to Learn: A self-starter who asks questions, enjoys learning new technologies, and adapts quickly.

- Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with BitLocker, laptop imaging, or hardware deployment.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an IT-related degree, trade school program, or certification such as CompTIA A+.

Pay
Your recruiter will be happy to discuss the details with you. This position has an expected salary range of $20.00-$25.00 per hour. You will also be eligible for the XTIVIA employee bonus plan. Compensation will be based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
