IT Support Specialist (& purchasing administrator)

About the role

Global Systems Technologies and ARB LLC is seeking an IT (Information Technology) Support Specialist who is proficient in AWS and follows a DevOps culture. The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting common IT issues and will be proactive in learning and specializing in areas like system administration, network administration, cyber security, and developer support.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Outlook, slow computers, password resets, and other common IT problems for employees.
• Learn and grow in specialized areas such as system administration, network administration, and cyber security.
• Assist in renewing SSL certificates on custom servers.
• Manage purchase orders for contract materials.
• Be familiar with AWS services including VPC, Security Groups, Network ACLs, Internet Gateways, DHCP option sets, Virtual Private Gateways, Site-to-Site VPN Connections, Elastic IPs, Transit Gateways, and debugging tools like VPC Reachability Analyzer and Network Manager - Network Access Analyzer.

Requirements

• Familiarity with network administration, basic IT support, and employee helpdesk.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies and certifications, such as CompTIA A+.
• Knowledgeable with current technology trends for purchasing computers (CPU, RAM, video cards, hard drives).
• Experience with AWS services and debugging tools.
