Responsibilities
- Serves as the first point of contact relating to the distribution and support of information technology resources.
- Provides problem solving and debugging along with delivering user support to faculty, staff and students.
- Trains employees in the use of equipment, software applications, and systems.
- Supports the deployment and troubleshooting of desktop/laptop machines, audio/video equipment, and other technology.
- Assists with the setup and maintenance of media equipment, including projectors, televisions, and document cameras.
- Collaborates with university-wide subject matter experts and provides technical support for events such as conferences, teleconferences, and webinars.
- Monitors and tracks inventory, sanitizes equipment, and uses an automated help desk tracking system.
- Reports progress towards goals and objectives and provides guidance and training for OPS technicians.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technology, or CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ Certifications.
- Four years of experience in the IT field, or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to four years.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask within a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience implementing and/or supporting new initiatives (policy, technology, procedure, etc.).
- Experience with various classroom technology and operations and application processing.
