IT Support Agent - Palm Bay, FL
About the role
We are seeking a local IT Support Agent in Palm Bay, Florida, to join our user support team. Reporting to the US Proximity Agent Team Leader based in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, the role involves assisting users with software and computer equipment issues, and managing IT assets.
Responsibilities
- Consider and resolve support service tickets
- Aid users in kiosk mode
- Carry out physical interventions on user equipment
- Prepare and support computers, cell phones, and other assets
- Place and follow up service calls with hardware suppliers (Dell, Ricoh, Zebra, Panasonic, etc.)
- Deliver equipment to users and provide training
- Escalate recurring problems to colleagues and supervisors
- Act as the IT representative for the facility
- Support multiple facilities in the Southeastern USA
- Offer hands-on and remote technical support to end users
- Manage IT asset inventory, including tracking, deployment, recovery, and lifecycle management
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in IT-related field or relevant IT certifications
- On-site 5 days a week
- Ability to travel to other BRP locations (10-15%)
- 2+ years of experience in computer support for users
- Advanced technical skills to solve complex problems
- In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft, Google Workspace, Service Now, or similar
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Collaborative environment with focus on customer service
- Proven ability to balance independent decision-making and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT Management or related field
- Certification in Computer Science
- Experience tailoring responses to meet user needs
- Desire to learn and gain experience within an organization
