IT Summer Internship 2027

Job Summary

You will represent our IT organization by assisting and collaborating with analysts, administrators, engineers, team members, and leaders within one of the IT focus areas: Cloud, Infrastructure, AI, Data & Analytics, Web & Mobile, etc., at CenterPoint Energy.

Essential Functions

• Assist and collaborate with analysts, administrators, engineers, team members, and leaders with a variety of IT projects
• Provide project completion data and presentation to all key stakeholders
• Participate in activities and meetings

Education

Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in an IT field from an accredited college or university. Open to sophomores and juniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Experience

• Valid driver’s license
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common productivity tools
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
