About the role
We are looking for an IT Specialist to join one of the leading and fastest-growing private interpreting companies in the United States. This is a work-from-home position (Latin America) and an Independent Contractor role.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to interpreters, assisting with day-to-day issues related to internet connectivity, PC or headset setup, audio problems, and more.
- Serve as a point of contact for technical issues, addressing them promptly and efficiently.
- Supervise and monitor Mattermost channels, ensuring technical issues are resolved quickly.
- Collect and review system check pictures as part of the onboarding process for new hires.
- Perform maintenance tasks on HLS' servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Set up emails and user profiles for our direct clients within the Boostlingo portal.
- Ensure our company website remains up-to-date, online, and functioning correctly.
- Provide technical assistance to clients through our HelpDesk line, resolving issues swiftly and effectively.
Requirements
- University or college degree in IT or a related field is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of end-user experience, with the ability to troubleshoot common technical problems.
- Experience with programming, server management, and/or website maintenance (Preferred technologies: Linux, Ubuntu, Plesk, cPanel, PHP, and MySQL).
- Proficiency in Next.js 15, TypeScript, Django Channels, PostgreSQL + Redis.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.

Pay
A competitive salary paid monthly in USD.
