About the role
RiseWell Community Services is seeking a full time IT Specialist II to join the Information Technology team in Medford, NY.
Responsibilities
- Resolve escalated IT incidents involving system performance, network issues, and software or hardware conflicts.
- Assist with server, infrastructure, and application support, including maintenance and patching.
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and assist with compliance, security activities, and auditing.
- Serve as escalation point and provide technical guidance to IT Specialist I staff.
- Ensure system access requests are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Enforce IT policies and perform routine device audits for compliance and quality assurance.
- Support configuration management and maintain system documentation.
- Assist with IT projects, system upgrades, and implementation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical procedures and workflows.
- Provide back-up support for critical technology systems as needed.
Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive IT experience providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and systems issues, and supporting end-user technology environments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
- Experience with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

- Technical proficiency with IT tools and technologies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and service management principles.

Pay
Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Monday - Friday (9am-5pm)
