About the role
This is a 24-month contract position supporting the State of New York OCFS via the CONNECTIONS system. Day-to-day duties include in-person, email, and telephone support; on-site instruction to users and small groups; training on new functionality; presentations to line staff; monitoring data-entry compliance; reviewing training materials; and providing technical assistance with the data warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Provide CONNECTIONS user support via in-person, email, and telephone.
- Deliver direct, on-site instruction to individual users and small groups.
- Provide instruction on newly released functionality.
- Deliver presentations to line staff.
- Monitor compliance with data entry requirements.
- Review training materials.
- Provide technical assistance with the data warehouse.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 36 months of experience providing IT support in a Child Welfare environment (child protective, foster care / permanency, or preventive services).
- 36 months of experience providing implementation support services for new application builds in a child welfare environment.
- 36 months of experience providing on-site user support for a large-scale (15k+ users) distributed child welfare application.
- 36 months of experience working on a large-scale (15k+ users) rollout, from needs assessment through production rollout and ongoing support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
