About the role

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented IT Support Level 1 Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and applications issues.
• Respond to queries either in person, via phone, or through email/ticketing system.
• Perform troubleshooting and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of user requests, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of IT assets and equipment.
• Follow established IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent is a plus.
