Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, servers, printers, and other IT equipment and systems.
- Monitor and support network infrastructure, security measures, backups, and system performance to ensure reliability and data integrity.
- Collaborate with the IT Systems Manager and cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Production, and Operations) on IT projects, system upgrades, and process improvements.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, software deployments, and documentation while educating team members on best practices for IT security and usage.
- Respond to and track support requests through ticketing systems, prioritizing issues with a focus on responsiveness and clear communication.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, patches, and preventive measures to optimize IT resources and proactively address potential problems.
- Absorb inventory management of IT assets, vendor coordination, and implementation of new technologies to support business needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in IT processes, security compliance, and overall infrastructure efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration, preferably in a manufacturing or fast-paced business environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Google Workspace, networking fundamentals, and common hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Experience with ERP systems, cloud services, cybersecurity best practices, and basic scripting or automation is a strong plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset; ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities; able to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to support both office and production floor environments.
- Automotive or manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
