About the role
A.O. Reed, a Legence Company, seeks an IT Support Specialist to join their team. The IT Support Specialist will provide first-line support for all staff, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance and resolution to issues in a prompt, courteous, and empathetic manner.
- Work with in-house staff and outsourced service and hardware vendors on technical support issues.
- Support the operation of a range of hardware including printers, scanners, and other external peripherals.
- Maintain, update, inventory, and troubleshoot approximately 300 devices, including servers, network hardware, desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and various software applications.
- Assist all users with IT-related incidents when called upon.
- Record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system (ServiceNow).
- Install and configure new IT equipment and keep track of asset lifecycle.
- Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware, including printers, copiers, and scanners.
- Create user accounts and reset passwords while applying correct permissions and data security.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, treating all customers efficiently and appropriately.
- Manage changing priorities and provide updates with sound time management.
- Attend internal training as necessary to stay updated with the latest technology and internal system processes.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience with IT support and problem-solving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical proficiency with hardware and software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of IT service desk systems like ServiceNow.
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure and server operations.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 2 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other common IT tools.
- Experience with remote support and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts and server administration.

Pay
Salary: $85k - $95k (depending on experience). This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility and company performance.
