IT Solutions Associate
About the Role
As a Solutions Associate with our Information Technology team, you’ll be working alongside the Solutions Architect to implement and maintain scalable solutions through clear communication, creating and maintaining technical documentation, and performing development assistance. We strive to innovate and improve the day-to-day for everyone in our company, and you’ll be able to help us create pragmatic solutions by exploring emerging technologies and innovative tools. We do all of our development in-house and work directly with the users of solutions we create. We have an open culture where all team members’ input is heard as we work together on a common goal.
The Solutions team works across a variety of technologies to best solve problems around tissue processing and graft distribution, so if you’re excited about making a real impact with your technological creativity, documentation, and communication skills, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to do so on our team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Solutions Architect to implement and maintain scalable solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Provide development assistance and support.
- Act as a liaison between project managers, end users, and the Solutions Architect.
- Field end user technical questions and assist in documentation efforts.
- Assist in development tasks for Solutions projects, including programming, developer and end user documentation, and testing.
- Make suggestions for new features or optimizations based on user feedback.
- Conduct independent research on current solutions, tools, and user workflows for potential enhancements and efficiencies.
- Contribute to the efficiency of project delivery under the direction of the Solutions Architect.
Milestones
Within 1 Month, You’ll
- Learn about the business and meet with departments to understand processes you will help improve.
- Get to know our research process, unique tools, and existing solutions.
- Begin fielding end user technical questions and assist in documentation efforts.
Within 6 Months, You’ll
- Gain a robust understanding of the needs of our organization and become more comfortable with different departments.
- Act as a liaison between the Solutions Architect, project managers, and end users for several projects.
- Assist in development tasks for Solutions projects, including programming, documentation, and testing.
- Make suggestions for new features or optimizations based on user feedback.
Within 12 Months, You’ll
- Have significant ownership over documentation and support processes for key solutions.
- Act as the primary communication liaison between the Solutions Architect, project managers, and end users, including issue escalation.
- Conduct independent research on current solutions, tools, and user workflows for potential enhancements.
- Extensively contribute to the efficiency of project delivery under the direction of the Solutions Architect.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends that could benefit our organization.
Requirements
- Experience in software development and technical support.
- Familiarity with applications written in Go, C#, Python, and/or Swift (knowledge of all is not required).
- Experience with web-based applications or tools using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new ideas and solutions appropriate for the task at hand.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to serve as a liaison between project managers, end users, and the Solutions Architect.
- Ability to consider the big picture and strive to build integrative systems, both from a data perspective and the daily workflow of users.
- Curiosity for research and staying current with industry trends, tools, and user workflows to identify potential enhancements.
