IT Service Transition Manager

About the role
The IT Service Transition Manager will plan, coordinate, and execute the deployment of technology changes into production across the RTX Classified Digital Services (CDS) enterprise environment. This role ensures deployments are performed in a controlled, repeatable manner with minimal impact to business operations by collaborating with CDS Process and Service Owners. The Deployment Manager acts as the single point of coordination during production cutovers, ensuring operational readiness, risk mitigation, and clear communication throughout the deployment lifecycle.
This is a hybrid role based at either our Tewksbury, MA; Richardson, TX; or Tucson, AZ facility.
Responsibilities
- Lead all CDS service deployment activities, maintaining close alignment with CDS project portfolio activities and the Program Management Office (PMO).
- Oversee deployment plans and tools, coordinate cutovers and back-out plans.
- Ensure successful implementation in the production environment and verify post-deployment stability.
- Partner with CDS Process and Service Owners and the Service Desk to confirm documentation, support models, monitoring, and escalation paths are in place.
- Communicate deployment status, risks, and outcomes to technical and business stakeholders.
- Ensure operational readiness and coordination throughout the Service Transition Lifecycle.
Requirements
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required.

- Experience with service transition and knowledge management.
- Experience with continual service improvement and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with change, configuration, and release management.
- ITIL certification.
- CORE certification.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD. The range is representative of all experience levels. Factors considered include role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Schedule
Hybrid: Employees work regularly both onsite and offsite. The ratio of onsite time will be determined in partnership with your leader.
