About the Opportunity
The IT Service Management Engineer is responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures robust system configurations, supports data integration, and improves operational readiness. The position is critical for sustaining service and asset visibility, enabling efficient IT service management, and meeting performance targets.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with application teams to design and implement data interfaces with enterprise systems.
- Resolve complex technical data and transformation issues.
- Develop, maintain, and execute reports, dashboards, and analytics.
- Support data imports, third-party software integrations, and CMDB maintenance.
- Provide technical support and answer application configuration questions.
- Maintain system design, operations, and platform documentation.
- Improve Knowledge Management and Asset Management processes.
- Manage certificate configurations related to the platform.
- Plan and execute technical tasks for ServiceNow configuration and implementation.
- Perform software coding and customization including Service Portal and scripting.
- Update testing protocols for ServiceNow instance upgrades.
- Analyze business requirements to propose sustainable ServiceNow solutions.
- Complete additional assigned duties.
Requirements
- Knowledge of ITIL concepts and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with JavaScript development on the ServiceNow platform.
- Advanced scripting skills including client/server scripting and REST API usage.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow best practices, database design, and multiple platform components.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PowerShell.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Strong problem analysis and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external partners.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently or in teams.
- BS degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration experience.
