IT Senior Program Manager

Allegion · Indiana, United States · 1 mo ago
Full-time

About the Role

As an IT Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for the full ERP lifecycle—from initial scoping through multi-site deployment—while actively leading process mapping sessions to optimize business processes. Bridging the gap between IT and business stakeholders, you will facilitate critical discussions and drive the decisions necessary to transform our Order-to-Cash (O2C), Supply Chain, and Distribution capabilities, including all integrated boundary applications. This high-impact hybrid role requires a blend of strategic program leadership and hands-on business analysis skillsets.

What You Will Do

  • Program Strategy & Leadership: Develop comprehensive program plans, objectives, and strategies that align tightly with organizational goals. Lead ERP implementations from the inception of scope and planning through execution, go-live, and post-implementation support. Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and tracking. Effectively allocate resources, including project team members, internal contractors, and external technology integration vendors.
  • Process Engineering & Optimization: Map current-state ("as-is") and design future-state ("to-be") processes for a multi-site manufacturing environment. Identify process gaps and uncover opportunities for automation and efficiency within the ERP ecosystem. Take ownership of the Technology Roadmap to support the broader Business Transformation Roadmap, partnering closely with assigned business leaders to maintain and evolve the strategy.
  • Project Execution & Quality Assurance: Lead the execution of multiple projects within the technology transformation roadmap. Ensure strict adherence to PMO methodologies, best practices, and quality standards while monitoring progress and resolving issues across multiple facility rollouts. Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system validation. Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards, align with industry's best practices, and comply with relevant regulations (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley).
  • Stakeholder Alignment & Change Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with executive program sponsors, multi-site plant managers, and cross-functional teams. Manage expectations to ensure deliverables meet the specific needs of supply chain and manufacturing leaders. Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth project implementation and user adoption across various manufacturing sites. Anticipate resistance, facilitate organizational readiness, and lead user training sessions. Establish effective reporting mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed of project progress, risks, and issues. Prepare and present regular, high-level status reports to senior management.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree, PMP, CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), or Scrum Master certification is a strong plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as an IT Program Manager successfully managing and delivering complex IT projects.
  • Manufacturing Expertise: Strong IT experience and understanding of manufacturing business processes, specifically Order to Cash, Supply Chain, and Distribution, and boundary business applications.
  • ERP Implementation: Demonstrable experience leading end-to-end ERP implementations (Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred) from initial scoping and planning inception to full implementation and stabilization.
  • Multi-Site Experience: Proven track record of deploying systems and standardizing processes across a multi-site, potentially global, manufacturing company.
  • Methodology & Tools: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), business analysis frameworks, and proficiency in PM software/tools.
  • Business Acumen & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results, achieving project objectives, and understanding the financial impacts of supply chain operations.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage, influence, and translate "IT speak" to business stakeholders at all levels.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of regulated systems and compliance standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities across different time zones and cultures.
  • Technology: Familiarity with emergent technologies and/or demonstrated experience in the use of AI tools is a strong plus.
  • Travel up to 25%
