About the role
The role is a hybrid contract position based in Plano, TX, requiring expertise in network security solutions. The IT Security Specialist will design, implement, and support enterprise network security technologies. This role involves working with internal and external stakeholders and requires proficiency in various security technologies.
Design and support enterprise network security solutions, including firewalls and content filtering. Translate business requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions. Execute changes in alignment with ITIL and Change Management practices. Collaborate with stakeholders for design requirements and production support transitions. Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage network security service requests and maintain data quality standards.
- Analyze requests, prioritize delivery dates, and execute changes within approved windows.
- Create and implement firewall and content filtering configurations.
- Support incident resolution through configuration changes.
- Act as a consultant for network security technologies.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in network security or related disciplines.
- Hands-on experience with firewall technologies.
- Experience managing web content filtering infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of network-based technologies and protocols.
- Industry certifications in network security or related technologies.
