IT SAP Analyst

About the Role

This contract position in Memphis, Tennessee supports Accounts Payable functions with a focus on resolving invoice processing exceptions in an automated SAP environment within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and identify the root causes of invoice processing exceptions within the automated accounts payable system and take appropriate actions to achieve timely resolution.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with internal departments, including PSM, Purchasing, Receiving, operations leadership, Finance/Accounting team members, and IT to resolve invoice processing issues and maintain positive working relationships.
• Take ownership of exception resolution from identification through closure, ensuring accountability, timely follow-up, and effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Analyze recurring exception trends and recommend process improvements to reduce manual processing and intervention.
• Escalate unresolved issues appropriately while balancing business needs, operational requirements, and financial controls.
• Collaborate with business partners to improve master data quality.
• Assist in developing and maintaining documentation, procedures, and training materials related to exception management.
• Influence outcomes and drive accountability across functional teams without direct reporting authority.
• Manage multiple issues simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Experience with SAP, preferably supporting FICO and Accounts Payable functions (required).
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) processes (required).
• Experience utilizing automated accounts payable processing systems and workflow tools (required).
• Knowledge of automated approval workflows, exception management, and process automation (preferred).
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools (preferred).

Pay

$20 - 25 per hour
