IT&S Director
About the Role
Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an IT&S Director to serve as the primary liaison between hospital leadership and enterprise IT. This role ensures local needs are represented in system-wide planning and that enterprise strategies are effectively implemented at the facility level.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between hospital leadership and enterprise IT.
- Participate in enterprise governance councils and contribute to data governance, cybersecurity, and technology standards.
- Lead the hospital's IT strategic planning process, aligning technology initiatives with hospital and enterprise goals.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support services.
- Implement and monitor IT service management processes, incident response, and change management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH) and participate in audits and inspections.
- Lead or support enterprise IT initiatives, including EHR upgrades, cybersecurity initiatives, and digital transformation efforts.
- Champion change management, staff training, and adoption of new technologies.
- Foster strong relationships with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and enterprise IT peers.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners following enterprise procurement guidelines.
- Support cost containment strategies and ensure technology initiatives align with organizational priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the hospital IT team, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Drive continuous improvement in IT service delivery using data analytics and benchmarking.
- Promote innovation and adoption of emerging technologies to advance patient care and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive IT management experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare and multi-site or enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience with hospital IT operations, EHR systems, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and project management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and IT staff development.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in healthcare IT.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or 7+ years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
