Responsibilities
- Designs, deploys, maintains, and administers organization-wide IT infrastructure including, but not limited to, Cloud based operations, LAN/WAN operations, and organization-wide software.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Develops and implements strategies as they relate to the organization's cybersecurity to ensure industry compliance, including the facilitation of IT security audits or investigations.
- Coordinates, researches, designs, and deploys multisite enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
- Oversees e-commerce operations to ensure 24/7 availability and to ensure sites are properly configured for B2B and B2C customers.
- Guides the integration of acquired business' IT processes into the organization's system.
- Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry and advises, counsels, and educates executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
- Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of third-party services on a regular basis.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, including the negotiation and administration of vendor and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Develops and manages the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient use of resources.
- Provides resources and/or conducts user training relative to the operation and use of the organization's IT systems.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring high levels of system performance and reliability.
- Develops knowledge and understanding of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification and implements as necessary.
- Manages projects using traditional and Agile methods, including Scrum, Kanban, and waterfall.
- Directly manages and supports the activities of the IT team; hires, trains, motivates, and manages team members.
- Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the team.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Manages discipline and termination of assigned staff in accordance with organization policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- B.S. in information technology, information systems, computer science or equivalent required.
- Minimum 12 years’ experience working in IT operations.
- Minimum 5 years’ management experience.
Skills
- Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases, and storage systems.
