IT Project Manager - Limited Tenure
Responsibilities
Sets projects of medium to high complexity, and supports projects of high complexity, as part of a program team in collaboration with a Senior Project Manager and/or Program Manager.
Achieves project objectives and completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to Mayo Clinic IT methodologies and practices.
Solicits technological input from senior technical resources assigned to their project team(s), and facilitates technology problem-solving activities.
Manages projects with budget responsibility up to $1 million, and may require matrix supervision of staff from other IT departments and divisions, and contractor/vendor resources.
May support senior level project/program managers in strategic planning processes.
Makes judgments and takes reasonable and prudent actions to accomplish agreed upon project objectives under minimal direct supervision.
Demonstrates the Project Focused Culture within the Information Technology department.
Manages multiple competing objectives, prioritizes, and communicates complex technical information in clear and unambiguous terms to management and end user personnel.
Affirms strict adherence to budget management and guidelines of both the Information Technology department and the institution.
Participates in the development and tracking of project budgets.
Performs Additional Job-related Functions As Detailed By Immediate Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years’ experience, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years’ experience, OR
- Associates degree and a minimum of 9 years' experience.
Experience to include managing projects of simple and moderate complexity involving Information Technology and/or Healthcare disciplines, which includes experience leading projects using PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas.
Project management certification from a nationally recognized accreditation or certification body, such as the Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly desirable.
Previous experience managing projects involving Information Technology disciplines (servers, workstations, applications, programming, testing, software selection, software deployment) highly desirable.

$97,448 - $136,448 / year
