IT Project Manager Expert

About the role
We are looking for an experienced IT Program Manager to join our technology-based program supporting a key functional program area providing full lifecycle engineering support for systems monitoring and applications management services. This includes monitoring for enterprise system performance and availability, providing guidance and engineering for upgrades, systems modifications, and updates. The role also provides operational support for applications deployed across the sponsor's enterprise, including release management, configuration management, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage enterprise-level IT projects using Project Management Framework (PMF) or Lean Agile methodologies.
- Monitor multiple projects, identify risks, and communicate effectively to customers, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Act as an Enterprise Scrum Master using Lean Agile, setting up Jira projects, and facilitating division-level sprint planning.
- Coach and facilitate team building and leadership offsite events.
- Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities, identifying programmatic challenges and mitigation strategies.
- Lead infrastructure engineering projects using Agile methodology and recommend changes for project success.
- Articulate complex issues to various audiences with outstanding communication skills.
Requirements
- Minimum of 11 years of experience in IT program management.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
- Professional certification in Project Management Professional (PMI PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or Leadership Coaching.
- Proven experience as a Lean Agile and leadership coach in an IT organization with Architecture, Infrastructure Engineering, Operations, Software Development, Security, and Close Support.
- Experience coaching and facilitating team building and leadership offsite events.
- Experience managing a shared pool of internal and subcontract resources.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, Agile, ITIL, or other related certifications.
- Knowledge of quality processes including ISO, Six Sigma, CMMi.
- Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies.
- Experience working with the government.
- Knowledge in the entire development system life cycle.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $149,603 - $254,317. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
