IT Project Manager / Bilingual Japanese

IT Project Manager position available at a large system integration company in New York. Seeking bilingual professionals with native-level Japanese and at least 3 years of IT PM experience. Role includes project coordination, client support, vendor management, and operational improvement. Candidates with ERP or Microsoft Dynamics experience are highly preferred. Prior work experience in Japan is a plus.

About the role

The IT Project Manager will manage client support activities, coordinate projects, communicate with vendors and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This position requires strong bilingual communication skills in Japanese and English, project coordination ability, and hands-on IT support/project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate assigned IT projects and support activities.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams regarding project progress and support issues.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and status reports.
• Monitor incidents, tickets, and support requests while ensuring timely resolution.
• Escalate issues appropriately and proactively manage risks.
• Execute operational tasks, user support, and documentation updates.
• Continuously improve operational processes and workflows.
• Work onsite at client locations as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily work logs and project records.
• Analyze project progress, support activities, and operational performance.
• Identify issues and propose improvement plans or solutions.
• Provide regular updates and reports to management regarding project status.
• Lead and support team members to achieve project goals.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Support team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure smooth operations and risk mitigation.
• Adhere to company policies, regulations, and team operational rules.

Requirements

• Native-level Japanese language ability.
• Minimum 3 years of IT Project Management experience.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Prior work experience in Japan.
• Experience with ERP systems and/or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience working in client-facing environments.

Pay

Salary range is $100,000–$130,000 depending on experience.

Hybrid or client-site work may be required depending on project needs.
