IT Project Manager | Bank Technology
Job Description
The position will follow our hybrid work model, with the selected candidate expected to be in the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office 50% of the time. This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple Bank technology projects impacting business processes and technology used firm-wide.
- Identify, prioritize, and manage opportunities to achieve defined goals.
- Develop project strategies, business cases, and high-level project plans.
- Partner with IT leadership, vendors, internal IT, and business members to plan and implement strategies.
- Facilitate and maintain contact with internal partners and vendors to identify, research, and resolve related project issues.
- Manage external resources (service providers, vendors, contractors) to achieve business results.
- Communicate with Technology leadership, business leadership, and consultants on project status, strategy, direction, and change.
- Create Smartsheet plans/dashboards; enable transparent communication and team productivity.
- Facilitate meetings, track key project milestones, risks, change controls, and related project reports in compliance with established technology standards (and in relation to business needs).
- Assist in the overall management of projects, including applying established project methodologies (SDLC, Agile), change control templates, and managing activities to define project schedules.
- Provide clear, timely status updates and presentations to management.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills/Previous Experience
- Minimum of six (6) to eight (8) years of relevant experience in project management.
- Experience using Azure DevOps (TFS), JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent project management systems.
- Experience with creating project schedules using MS Project and SmartSheets.
- Creating and archiving documentation in a repository, such as SharePoint or Confluence.
- Financial services and/or banking experience is highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Project management methodologies and tools (Agile and/or Waterfall Methodology, Smartsheet, Excel), including application development and project life cycle methodologies: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Concepts of risk management, issue tracking, change management and requirements gathering.
- Business planning and analysis.
- Project budget interfaces with other accounting systems.
