IT Project Manager

Project Manager Location: Hybrid / Onsite (varies by engagement) Employment Type: Contract / Contract-to-Hire Position Overview TEKsystems is seeking Project Managers to support a broad range of initiatives across our client portfolio. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects that span technology, business operations, and organizational transformation. Project Managers at TEKsystems partner with cross-functional teams to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to initiatives that may involve IT delivery, application development, modernization efforts, vendor platforms, or process improvement. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and comfortable operating in dynamic environments with multiple stakeholders. Areas of Project Delivery Project Managers may support initiatives including, but not limited to: IT initiatives and enterprise technology projectsApplication development, enhancements, and system modernization effortsAutomation and digital transformation initiativesVendor management and vendor-led software implementationsSaaS and third-party platform deploymentsBusiness operations and program management initiativesProcess improvement and operational efficiency projectsData, reporting, and analytics initiativesCloud enablement and infrastructure-related projects Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Lead projects through the full lifecycle from initiation through closureDevelop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverablesTrack progress, manage risks and issues, and ensure accountability across teamsAdjust plans as priorities, timelines, or requirements evolve Stakeholder & Team Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholdersFacilitate meetings, working sessions, and regular status updatesCoordinate efforts across business, technical, vendor, and leadership teamsCommunicate project status, risks, and dependencies effectively Organization, Documentation & Process Maintain clear and accurate project documentationSupport requirements clarification and documentation as neededEstablish and maintain repeatable processes that support consistent deliveryPromote alignment, transparency, and operational efficiency throughout project execution Execution Support & Problem Solving Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps early and proactively address themSupport change management by documenting impacts and communicating updatesHelp teams stay focused and aligned in fast-paced or evolving environments Industries We Support TEKsystems Project Managers work across a variety of industries, including: Public Sector & EducationUtilitiesFinancial ServicesHealthcare & InsuranceTelecommunicationsCommercial & Enterprise Organizations Required Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or related roleExperience managing cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholdersStrong organizational, communication, and facilitation skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirementsFamiliarity with project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid frameworksExperience using project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Planview, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting technology, systems, infrastructure, data, or process-driven initiativesExposure to vendor-led or cross-organizational projectsBackground in requirements gathering, documentation, or business analysisPMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, Agile, or related project management certification preferred but not required Why TEKsystems TEKsystems partners with organizations to deliver impactful projects that improve systems, processes, and outcomes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
