Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the execution of project plans, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Apply Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery approaches where appropriate, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and iterative delivery practices.
- Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to prioritize work and remove impediments.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand project requirements, manage expectations, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate regular communication and updates.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing clear direction and support. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with industry best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and change logs. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability. Identify and address any budgetary issues promptly.
- Actively contribute to the maturity and continuous improvement of the PMO by developing and implementing best practices, processes, and tools. Share knowledge and mentor junior project managers.
- Other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP, similar certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and system integration. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Monday.com, MS Planner etc.).
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
Additional Job Description
At the time of this posting, the salary range for this position in New York and Washington, DC is $128,000.00 to $160,000.00 annually. Actual compensation is commensurate with job related knowledge, skills, experience and location of the position.
