IT Project Manager

About the role

BAE is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead technology projects within our Information Technology Organization. The PM will oversee IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and compliance projects both on-premises and in the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of IT projects
• Collaborate with IT leadership and internal customers to establish and prioritize project portfolios
• Lead programs and projects through the project lifecycle including Planning and Analysis, Execution, Delivery, Stabilization, and Benefit Realization
• Provide critical and project status updates including project portfolio alignment, project execution performance, and business sponsor success criteria
• Develop and execute project management strategies
• Manage requirements, priorities, and alignment with organizational objectives and success criteria
• Develop solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity, innovation, and robust design
• Manage resources including guiding and motivating team members
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Develop and conduct executive-level status briefings with strong presentation skills
• Manage cost breakdown structure, cost estimation, and cost management throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage vendor relationships including working with third-party systems integrators
• Develop and implement change management plans
• Support senior project managers and program managers on more complex project teams
• Execute agile project execution and release agility
• Support business-wide governance processes including developing deliverables and consulting on related matters
• Develop innovative solutions to complex problems ensuring they align with organizational objectives
• Develop and conduct change management plans detailing scope, budget, and resource effects to scope changes
• Manage project finance and apply Earned Value Management concepts
• Develop and present executive-level status briefings
• Apply learning agility and a relentless improvement mindset
• Work independently and perform job functions with minimal supervision
• Use Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years work experience
• Experience managing multiple concurrent IT projects
• Experience leading projects through business-wide governance processes
• Experience with agile project execution
• Experience developing innovative solutions to complex problems
• Experience in developing change management plans
• Experience in project finance management including Earned Value Management
• Ability to develop and conduct executive-level status briefings
• Expertise in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Benefits

Full-time salary range: $118,095 - $200,762.
