About the Role

The IT Product Owner III serves as the key liaison between business, technology, and technical vendors. This role is responsible for understanding ATC's needs and opportunities for efficiency, growth, and competitive advantage, proposing solutions, and driving them through to successful implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration: Drive discussions to understand business problems and workable solutions. Create and contribute to a safe working and sharing environment that encourages team participation. Listen, learn, and integrate multiple perspectives into solutions. Articulate understanding of various perspectives and obtain buy-in for project plans. Mentor other IT Product Owners and IT team members.
  • Change Management: Foster and support an environment of continuous improvement. Understand multiple perspectives and reactions to change, and work to alleviate concerns to gain buy-in and adoption. Visualize big-picture drivers and ATC’s mission, breaking changes into smaller increments for ease of adoption. Communicate the impact of changes and benefits early and often. Lead implementations and drive change.
  • Functional Analysis: Break down business problems into needs and desires. Develop functional knowledge of assigned business verticals. Synthesize business problems with technological opportunities for solutioning. Integrate best-practice processes or clearly identify why custom processes are required. Review and troubleshoot business tickets to prioritize corrections and enhancements. Conduct product reviews and build/buy/remediate analysis as needed. Create ROI analysis and solution write-ups for budgeting and steering committee review.
  • Project Management: Break work down and manage time in appropriate project management tools. Keep the project team informed and on track to deliverables. Provide executive-level summaries of status as required. Adjust scope, timeline, and budget with steering committee approval to maintain delivery of the highest business value. Develop roadmaps and plans aligned with IT strategy.
  • Agile Development: Collaborate with business and chief product owner as surrogates in the agile process. Break down epics and features into stories with product teams, architects, and lead developers. Refine stories with scrum and Kanban teams to ensure clear acceptance criteria. Review QA testing plans to determine completeness and regression needs. Review and accept completed stories, provide feedback, and train users. Obtain feedback for further enhancements or bug fixes.
  • Vendor Management: Work with vendors to provide insight into ATC’s needs and how their products may deliver business value. Review vendor contracts to ensure company needs are met. Manage vendor engagements to ensure project success. Collaborate with vendor QA and UAT teams to verify work completion.
  • Data & Technology: Stay up to date with current trends and products that may add value to ATC. Understand how digital-first companies leverage data and what ATC needs to stay competitive. Propose opportunities where technology or data can differentiate or accelerate ATC’s growth, market share, and margins.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in at least one functional area and three or more core technologies:
    • Manufacturing / WHMS / Forecast / Planning
    • ERP (Oracle Fusion preferred)
    • Finance System / Procurement (Oracle Fusion preferred)
    • RPA (UI Path preferred)
    • BPA (MS PowerApps preferred)
    • Cloud data warehousing and analytics (Azure / Synapse preferred)
    • CRM (SF.com preferred)
    • PLM (Centric preferred)
    • HRMS (UltiPro or Oracle preferred)
    • DTC (Google Analytics, Amazon, Shopify, etc.)
    • CLM (DocuSign preferred)

Physical Demands

  • Ability to withstand prolonged periods sitting at a desk.
  • Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions and work on a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally stand/walk.
