A Day In The Life
- Develop subject matter expertise in applications supporting VPC operations, including vehicle staging, inspection, quality control, accessory installation, production scheduling, and delivery coordination.
- Reverse engineer and document the applications via process flow diagrams E2E.
- Manage and understand the networking, servers and hardware utilized by the application.
- Keep the applications and servers updated to the latest version collaborating with vendors and MSPs.
- Collaborate closely with VPC operations teams to understand end-to-end business processes and translate them into functional and technical system requirements.
- Collaborate and provide excellent customer service to end users by working closely with the business, SAP functional leads, GST DevOps and AMS technical teams.
- Prioritize and manage product backlogs for VPC-focused systems; evaluate change requests and enhancements based on business impact and operational urgency.
- Define and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios that reflect VPC process needs.
- Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process.
- Liaise with the product team and end-users to deliver updates.
- Lead sprint planning and agile ceremonies to drive timely execution of manufacturing-supporting IT initiatives.
- Design solutions that integrate well with the various business operations and are scalable.
- Provide application support including analysis, testing, tracking, and problem resolution.
- Support after hours deployments as needed.
- Research production problems and/or enhancement issues and make appropriate changes to the system. Initiate action and evaluate issues to develop alternative solutions.
- Apply expert knowledge and experience to resolve problems.
- Support the DevOps team to define and document solution architecture as part of a new initiative or enhancement.
- Act as recognized leader within the team and subject matter expert for assigned applications.
- Manage releases and patches for software and servers.
- Provide change management and training support to ensure successful adoption of updated systems and workflows at the VPC.
- Ensure applications comply with document control and quality assurance procedures, with a focus on reducing manual effort and improving throughput.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree Req
- 7-9 years experience in the field or in a related area or possess an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Required 5-7 years experience in preparing Process and Functional Design documents, along with strong acumen to understand, translate and map business processes
- Experience managing software changes, deployments and SAAS vendors
- Understanding database fundamentals including basic query wiring and familiarity with SQL servers
- Familiarity with Windows server administration including configuration and troubleshooting
- Practical understanding of core networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, DNS, and troubleshoot basic connectivity issues
- Passion and desire to drive for standardization

- The associate will work from the Vehicle Processing Center 4 - 5 days a week and will travel to the Friedkin Corporate Campus for 1 day a week as needed. May occasionally (up to 10% of the time) be required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable for business.
