IT Portfolio & Investment Analyst
About the role
This role is part of the Infrastructure & Site Services Front Office team, partnering with technology and business leaders to guide investment decisions across enterprise infrastructure capabilities.
Responsibilities
Prioritize infrastructure initiatives by balancing value, risk, and capacity constraints.
Evaluate investment options and contribute recommendations, with increasing ownership of decision framing over time.
Partner with leadership to align on investment decisions on what work gets funded, deferred, or stopped.
Support and progressively take ownership of end-to-end financial planning (annual plan, forecasting, variance management).
Partner with Service Owners and Strategy Lead to develop and maintain multi-year lifecycle investment strategies (e.g., reliability, capacity, cyber, lifecycle refresh).
Improve cost transparency and cost allocation across infrastructure services.
Develop and refine TCO models, business cases, and cost/benefit analysis, with guidance on investment framing and decision support.
Translate complex financial and operational data into clear decision options for leadership.
Ensure decisions are grounded in economic thinking and aligned to enterprise priorities.
Establish and maintain portfolio-level reporting on investment allocation, spend vs. plan, and portfolio health and performance.
Improve visibility into capital deployment and business outcomes.
Strengthen governance processes to support consistent, data-driven decision-making.
Align portfolio commitments with resource capacity, funding constraints, and delivery feasibility.
Partner closely with execution and service teams to reflect real-world constraints in investment decisions.
Requirements
Experience in IT portfolio management, financial planning, technology finance, or investment analysis.
Demonstrated experience with financial modeling (TCO, ROI, cost/benefit analysis), budgeting, forecasting, and variance management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems.
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, or Enterprise IT environments.
Familiarity with PPM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Planview).
Experience working with Finance partners on planning cycles and capital allocation.
Exposure to portfolio governance frameworks or Lean Portfolio Management practices.
Skills
Experience influencing decisions without formal authority.
