IT/OT Administrator
General Purpose of Job
The IT/OT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the critical IT (Informational Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) systems, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires expertise in industrial control systems, SCADA, outage management, distributed energy resource management, and compliance with NERC CIP standards. The IT/OT Administrator will oversee the integration and operation of various IT/OT infrastructures, including network components, virtualization platforms, enterprise storage, and backup solutions.

Education: Four (4) year bachelor’s degree in information systems or a related field.
Experience: Four (4) years of experience working with Active Directory management, VMware vSphere and associated components, and experience with backup, replication, and clustering technologies, with a focus on Disaster Recovery implementation. Two (2) years of experience working with enterprise storage solutions and SAN integration, Microsoft Exchange Office 365, Entra, and Azure.
Preferred: Experience within an electric utility or related industry preferred.
Certifications: Required - Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with NERC CIP Version 3 and/or Version 5 standards.
Administer and maintain Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Outage Management Systems (OMS), and Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS).
Manage rack server hardware, blade servers, and virtualization platforms to ensure high availability and efficiency.
Oversee and configure network components such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
Administer Active Directory (AD), including group policies, user permissions, and authentication protocols.
Maintain and optimize VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter, High Availability (HA), and Fault Tolerance (FT) in vSphere 7.x and above.
Implement and manage enterprise storage solutions (NAS, FC, iSCSI SANs) and ensure their seamless integration with VMware platforms, including proprietary SAN operating systems like NetApp.
Support and manage Microsoft Exchange Office 365, Entra, and Azure cloud environments.
Develop and implement backup, replication, and clustering strategies, ensuring Disaster Recovery (DR) preparedness at multiple levels.
