About the role
This position works on-site, three rotating 12-hour days per week from 4:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. The IT Operation Technical team is a passionate team who takes pride in 24x7 monitoring and support to keep Sentry’s IT systems fully functional to be able to service both our external and internal customers.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolves IT operations production issues using support systems and associated tools to achieve efficient resolution via established procedures.
- Monitor the health of multiple environments, applications, web services, systems and telephony platforms using associated monitoring and reporting systems.
- Monitor the daily scheduled job processes to ensure successful completion.
- Restarts failed processes or escalates issues to appropriate IT resource.
- Resolves IT associate problems by answering questions and fulfilling requests.
Requirements
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
- PREFERRED: Some continuing education courses in computer system operations.
- GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF COMPUTER SERVER AND NETWORKING CONCEPTS, TELEPHONY, STORAGE EQUIPMENT AND ASSOCIATED SOFTWARE.
- PROBLEM-SOLVING, ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND THE ABILITY TO BALANCE MULTIPLE PRIORITIES.
- GOOD ORGANIZATIONAL, HUMAN RELATIONS, AND COMMUNICATION (VERBAL AND WRITTEN) SKILLS.
