What You'll Do
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in multiple functional areas/domains on system processes and data structures that support multiple technology disciplines within the Enterprise Application Services (EAS) department.
- Manage the Common Services teams and deliver complex projects in designated domain(s) or functional area(s) to maintain the security posture on time and on budget.
- Oversee ~10 key applications including BMC Control M job scheduler, File Exchange/Account Extract, Cleo Harmony SFTP, Babel Messaging-Email Services, Twilio-Sendgrid platform, ELK Application Logging and Reporting Platform, and Event Management.
- Help the bank deliver about 50% of total production customer reconciliation, statements, and reporting in a high-pressure environment.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to proactively address ongoing customer needs and ensure rapid resolution to open issues.
- Foster a collaborative environment with focus on continuous improvement and delivery of working software.
- Participate in strategic and tactical planning for the delivery of Cyber products and services as well as evaluate technology and set standards.
- Recommend improvements to established business processes while continuing to deliver high value in execution.
- Create and deliver on comprehensive project plans, remove any impediments, and track overall project performance to analyze the successful completion of business short-term and long-term goals.
- Drive execution of project deliverables by establishing clear milestones, communicating timelines, managing dependencies, and aligning cross-functional teams to successfully achieve Common Services roadmap goals.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, enabling effective decision-making, removing delivery impediments, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards, security requirements, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Foster strong collaboration between business and technology teams, balancing strategic objectives, operational stability, risk management, and customer needs to deliver measurable business value.
- Serve as the technology owner for foundational banking services supporting mission-critical money movement processes, ensuring platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational readiness.
- Lead and coordinate complex production deployments, release activities, and cutover implementations, delivering seamless go-live executions with minimal risk and no disruption to business operations or customer services.
- Ensure operational excellence through proactive planning, governance, resiliency testing, disaster recovery readiness, and continuous process improvement initiatives across critical banking platforms.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and engineering excellence by mentoring team members and driving adoption of modern engineering practices and automation.
What You'll Need
- 7+ years of related experience in IT--App Support, IT--Development, IT--Networking or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Intermediate knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate to advanced experience in managing technology teams within a specific functional area while ensuring highest quality delivery of complex products or services.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with the execution KPIs and timelines with proven ability to analyze a variety of data and summarize findings in applicable reports or other communication mediums.
- Utilize data to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth by collaborating with business and tech leads.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- May require up to 25% travel.
