About the role

Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is just one component of our competitive Total Rewards package, which includes wellness programs designed to support our team members' financial, physical, and mental well-being. Responsibilities

  • Direct the overall operations and staff of the IT department.
  • Develop, implement, and manage operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Ensure scheduling is done in an effective and efficient manner while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare, monitor, and adhere to budgets; ensure compliance to departmental budget initiatives; report budget concerns/deviations to Executive Management/GM.
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise; responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the Corporate Information Technology organization regarding cross-functional governance, architecture, and standards.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the property's information and technology functions.
  • Translate the strategic logics and tactical business plans into operational plans and systems structures.
  • Manage the remote access process.
  • Evaluate and advise on the effect of long-range planning of new strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the technical operating platforms of the property.
  • Participate in the development of design and implementation strategies to ensure the property is kept abreast of technology trends within the industry, in accordance with enterprise governance and architectural standards.
  • Participate in the development of integration strategies to ensure optimal efficiency of computer systems and programs with existing end users.
  • Participate in the development of disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuance in case of systems failures, in accordance with enterprise governance and architectural standards.
  • Ensure adequate processing and storage capacity for growing business demands based on customer volumes.
  • Continually reassess the competitiveness of all information assets against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets.
  • Establish credibility throughout the property with management and employees in order to be an effective listener and problem-solver of information issues.
  • Participate in the development of appropriate policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of all deployed information systems, in accordance with enterprise governance and architectural standards.
  • Coordinate the interdepartmental efforts relative to information systems throughout the property.
  • Provide technical advice and knowledge to the Executive team.
  • Manage the budget and other financial measures of the Information Technology department.
  • Regularly reassess systems mix, policies, procedures, and personnel to ensure compliance with strategic logics and operational objectives.
  • Supervise and manage attendance and time records of team members.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance within area of authority and report potential issues to Executive Management/GM.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, and one to two years of project leadership and/or management experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Subject matter knowledge of Gaming Operations required.
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in the application of a wide range of systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Governance and Information Security frameworks (PCI, NIST, SOX, Audit).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Business management, systems management, project management, contract negotiation and administration, operating, and capital budgeting skills required.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of the PC environment, including hardware, operating systems, and networking; proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage a team working in a high-pressure environment toward successful results for the property and company.
  • Strong problem-solving, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
  • Proven experience in handling user problems and vendor relationships.
  • Ability to analyze problems and apply logical/cost-effective solutions.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
  • Ability to assist with strategic planning and tactical deployment of objectives that provide effective and efficient operations and support for the property.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
