IT/Low Voltage Estimator - NYC/Boston/Washington DC (New York City Metropolitan Area)

IT / Low Voltage Estimator Locations: New York | Boston, MA | Maryland / Washington DC Metro Employment: Full-time The Opportunity A leading technology systems integrator is expanding its estimating team and looking for experienced IT / Low Voltage Estimators across New York, Boston and the Maryland/DC market. This position will work closely with Operations, Business Development and Design teams to review project plans, specifications and bid requirements, developing accurate estimates for complex technology infrastructure projects. Projects can include structured cabling, communications, IT infrastructure and wider low-voltage systems across large commercial, corporate, healthcare, education and government environments. Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications, bid packages and project requirementsPerform project take-offs and determine scope prior to bid submissionDevelop accurate estimates covering labour, materials and equipmentWork alongside Design Engineers to understand system layouts and project requirementsPrepare detailed proposals and supporting estimating documentationAssist with pricing and preparation of project change ordersReview competitive bids and make adjustments alongside Estimating leadershipIdentify project cost drivers and potential financial risksTrack project costs against initial budgets and forecastsSupport Operations and Business Development throughout the bidding process What We're Looking For 3+ years of Project Estimating experiencePrevious experience within IT infrastructure, structured cabling, communications or low-voltage systemsStrong understanding of labour and material estimatingAbility to interpret drawings, specifications and project documentationExperience performing take-offs and developing project proposalsStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify key cost driversExcellent attention to detailAbility to communicate complex cost information clearlyExperience working with Design, Operations and/or Business Development teams Experience estimating structured cabling and communications projects is particularly relevant.
