About the role
Citi is looking for a Lead Market Risk Product Analyst to enhance the user experience for market risk analytics in a complex trading environment. This role involves translating large-scale risk data into intuitive dashboards and data models for senior leaders. The analyst will work at the intersection of quantitative risk, data engineering, and product design. The position aims to shape how Citi manages market risk globally through effective tools and models.
Requirements
- Around 10 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Product Owner within a Capital Markets or Market Risk technology function.
- Deep expertise in market risk concepts including VaR, Stress Testing, and risk sensitivities.
- Demonstrated ability to design data models and semantic layers for business intelligence platforms.
- Hands-on skills with Tableau or Power BI, including end-to-end dashboard design.
- Proficiency in Python for independent data analysis and prototyping.
- Technical grounding in modern data ecosystems, including S3-based storage and query technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills to explain complex data flows and risk metrics.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain curated data models for market risk analytics.
- Design and prototype interactive dashboards in Tableau and Power BI.
- Translate the market risk data lifecycle into structured data products.
- Bridge senior business users with technology teams to convert business requirements into actionable specifications.
- Partner with UI/UX and development teams to shape requirements for analytical front ends.
- Collaborate with data platform and API engineering teams to evaluate platform capabilities.
- Champion a product-oriented approach to analytics delivery.
