IT Lab Support Technician (PART-TIME)

About the role

We are hiring an IT Lab Support Technician with 1-2 years of experience supporting laboratory IT environments. This role combines help desk support with hands-on support of scientific workstations, laboratory instruments, and end users in a research setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support for scientists, researchers, and laboratory staff.
• Troubleshoot and support Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
• Support laboratory instruments and workstations, including HPLCs, SpectraMax, microscopes, and NGS platforms.
• Install, configure, and maintain laboratory software and hardware.
• Support applications such as Empower, QXManager, SoftMax Pro, JMP, and GraphPad.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and connectivity issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, system updates, and user account administration.
• Assist with data backup, asset management, and system documentation.
• Train users on laboratory workstation and software best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1-2 years of IT Lab Support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Lab IT experience.
• Experience supporting laboratory, scientific, research, healthcare, or biotech environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows and macOS (Linux preferred).
• Experience supporting laboratory instruments and scientific software.

Pay

$30-$33/hr

Schedule

Part-Time, 20 hours/week (2-3 days onsite)
