IT Internship - Nutanix - DOD SkillBridge-eligible applicants only

Position Summary

The PGTEK PATH (Professional Advanced Training for Heroes) offers service members the opportunity to develop skills and gain work experience, with the potential for full-time employment following the internship. We are seeking a motivated, SkillBridge-eligible candidate to join our infrastructure and cloud services team through a hands-on training and internship program focused on Nutanix technologies, virtualization, and modern data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in structured technical training focused on virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and Nutanix technologies
• Learn fundamentals of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, storage, networking, and virtual machine management
• Aid with deployment, configuration, and support of virtualization and cloud environments
• Shadow experienced engineers during remote and onsite customer projects
• Support infrastructure implementation, migration, and upgrade activities
• Participate in hands-on labs and guided troubleshooting exercises
• Learn data protection, disaster recovery, and system monitoring best practices
• Assist with hardware installation activities including racking, stacking, and basic cabling when required
• Develop customer service and consulting skills through team collaboration and client interaction
• Work toward Nutanix industry certifications during the internship program

Program Structure

• Duration: Approximately 4-6 months
• Combination of self-paced learning, instructor guidance, labs, and on-the-job shadowing
• Opportunities to participate in real-world customer projects and deployment activities
• Certification-focused training pathway with mentorship from experienced engineers
• Career path opportunities for successful participants

Requirements

• Active-duty military member approved for the DoD SkillBridge Program
• Strong interest in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, virtualization, or data center technologies
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, or IT support concepts preferred
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional attitude with strong attention to detail and customer service mindset
• Willingness to travel occasionally for onsite training or customer engagements, if needed
