Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install and configure software and hardware.
- Wipe and de-commission obsolete hardware.
- Aid with the deployment of software updates.
- Set up accounts and workstations.
- Imaging laptops and desktops.
- Terminate ethernet cables as required.
- Maintain accuracy of IT asset inventory.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computer hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.
- Follow up with users to ensure issues are resolved and customers are satisfied.
- Escalate complex problems to higher-level IT personnel when necessary.
- Provide user support.
- Answer questions about IT systems, software, and hardware.
- Guide users through troubleshooting steps.
- Document issues, solutions, and user interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of IT activities and infrastructure.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
- Understanding of computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
Education or Equivalent
- A high school diploma is preferred.
- Some college experience as a plus.
Experience
- IT admin experience preferred.
- Formal computer science training is a plus.
Necessary Skills, Knowledge & Judgment
- Excellent writing skills.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Word and Excel software.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Basic math skills.
Language Skills
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers.
Reasoning Ability
- Proven ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Physical Demands
- Lift and handle computing hardware up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment
- Work will be conducted in an office and manufacturing environment.
