About the role

The IT Field Support Technician provides support to Nabors businesses and the directions of the Nabors Corporate Services Information Technology (IT) Department in North Dakota and Eastern Montana. The position reports to the IT Field Services Manager. It requires frequent contact with other IT personnel, other Nabors departments, field personnel, and various Nabors corporate departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Nabors businesses and IT department staff
• Collaborate with IT personnel, other Nabors departments, field personnel, and corporate departments
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computer hardware and software
• Perform routine maintenance on IT equipment
• Document and communicate technical issues and solutions to relevant parties

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of IT support experience
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols
• Experience with network monitoring tools
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles
