Overview

Sentara Health is now hiring an IT Director, Clinical Systems in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) or at least 8 years of relevant management experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience (required).

Responsibilities

• System Management: Oversee electronic health records (EHRs) and other clinical software to ensure smooth operation.
• Workflow Improvement: Identify ways to make daily medical tasks faster and easier using technology.
• Team Leadership: Manage IT staff, data analysts, and system administrators.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all software and data handling meet healthcare laws and privacy rules.
• Vendor and Budget Control: Choose software vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage the department budget.
