IT DevOps Engineer – Fresher

Job Title: IT DevOps Engineer – Fresher Location: Irvine, CA (3-4 days work from office) Duration: 6 Months Contract to hire Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Engineer – Fresher to join our IT team. The candidate will work with experienced DevOps and engineering teams to support application deployment, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and automation. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher to build hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing and monitoring CI/CD pipelines. Support application build, deployment, and release activities. Work with development teams to automate deployment processes. Learn and work with Git/GitHub/GitLab for source-code management. Assist in creating and maintaining Jenkins / Azure DevOps pipelines. Support basic cloud infrastructure activities on AWS / Azure. Monitor application and infrastructure health using monitoring tools. Assist in troubleshooting deployment and environment-related issues. Work with Linux/Unix environments and perform basic shell commands. Support containerized applications using Docker. Gain exposure to Kubernetes and container orchestration. Create and maintain basic automation scripts using Python / Shell scripting. Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and support guides. Follow IT security, change management, and incident management processes. Participate in production support and scheduled deployments when required. Required Skills Technical Skills Basic understanding of DevOps concepts and CI/CD. Knowledge of Git and version control. Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix. Understanding of at least one scripting language such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell. Basic understanding of Docker and containers. Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred. Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and ports. Understanding of software development and deployment lifecycle. Soft Skills Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and teamwork. Willingness to learn new technologies. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Good documentation and problem-solving skills. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects, certifications, or internships are encouraged to apply.
