IT Database Administrator (This is an in-person position)

Responsibilities

• Performs database management and administration tasks
• Troubleshoots and resolves database issues
• Maintains database security
• Monitors and tunes database performance
• Ensures maximum database availability and protection
• Creates, upgrades, tunes, and patches databases
• Verifies data integrity
• Installs database engine software and middle-tier database applications
• Provides after-hours database support as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Four (4) years of work experience with increasingly responsible experience in database administration

Qualifications

• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered

Skills

May require demonstrated professional-level competency and/or certification pertaining to the information technologies used by the appointing department.
